Catriona Carey’s five-day trip to Miami cost Careysfort customers €6,000


Careysfort client deposit account spending skyrocketed on February 24, 2020, after Catriona Carey arrived in Miami for her Florida trip and five-day cruise.

The Careysfort account balance stood at €86,142 when the former Irish hockey star stepped off the plane upon arriving in the city.

Initial spending focused on clothing stores, with Carey losing €70 at Surf Style in Miami Beach, €101 at Trendy by TK, €987 at Armani Exchange, €148 at Rip Curl and €167 at Zara USA.

Two payments totaling €637.98 were then made to what appears to be a bank account linked to a cruise line.

Catriona Carey arrived in Miami for her trip to Florida and her five-day cruise.

Spending on the account resumes in Nassau City in the Bahamas, where Carey used the company’s debit card to cover payments of €45.19 and €53.45 at the Hard Rock Café.

An additional €165.13 was donated to the Blanc Du Nil clothing store on the island and €72.27 to the Solomon Mines Discount Warehouse for perfume.

Another €66 was spent at Rare Finds Boutique on the island’s Old Fort Bay.

A payment of €353 was then made to the same travel agency as before before Carey appeared to have returned to Miami, where she handed over €223.17 at the Washington Park Hotel in Miami Beach on February 28.

A meal costing €45.54 at the 11th Street Diner followed.

The account also covered an $8.47 Starbucks receipt and a $282 bill at the Miami Heat basketball team store.

Carey concluded her spending in Miami on the client’s deposit account on February 29 with an $89.24 Duty Free spend.

By the time she boarded the plane back to Dublin Airport on February 29, via Madrid, Careysfort Asset Estate’s bank account showed a balance of €80,146.84.

A total of €5,995.16 of customer funds was spent on personal expenses during the trip.

This money does not include travel costs associated with the trip.
